Lyme Support Group Presents Guest Speaker


“The Psycho-Social Effects of Lyme Disease” will be the topic of guest speaker, Dr. John R. “Jack” Jones, at the Fauquier Lyme Support Group’s meeting Thursday, March 15. The meeting will begin  at 7 p.m. in the Sycamore Room at Fauquier Hospital. This group meets every third Thursday. Meetings are free and open to the public. The presentation will address the impact of lyme disease on mental processes, emotions, interpersonal relationships and more. A Lyme disease patient himself, Dr. Jones has had a distinguished career in the fields of psychotherapy and addiction treatment. He is a therapist, author, trainer and international speaker, and has hosted a national radio program on spirituality and behavioral health. Dr. Jones' accomplishments include co-founding Hope Community Inpatient Psychiatric and Addictions Treatment Centers. He has written 15 recovery workbooks, a therapist training manual, and articles for numerous national publications. He received his PhD from Columbia Pacific University and has had additional university training in Integral Medicine and Theology.
