Rodger Baker led Fauquier Health for 39 years. | He is retiring at the end of March. |
Rodger Baker, Chief Transition Officer of Fauquier Health has
announced that Friday, March 31 will be his last day with the health system.
Baker has led Fauquier Health for almost four decades, guiding its growth to a
multi-facility health system that employs more than 1,200 staff and physicians.
Current CEO Chad Melton said, “It’s no secret that Rodger
has been an instrumental figure at this hospital – for nearly 40 years. While
we will undoubtedly miss his daily presence, I hope you all share my genuine
excitement and well-wishes for him as he enters into retirement!
“I also want to personally thank Rodger for his leadership
and support during this transition. We have been working together for several
months now – long before my actual arrival in Warrenton. During this time, his
care for this hospital and community has been overwhelmingly evident, and he
has helped make this a very smooth transition.”
A farewell reception will be held Wednesday, March 29, from
4 to 7 p.m. in the Sycamore Room at Fauquier Hospital. The public is
invited to join staff and physicians to wish Baker and his wife well in their
retirement.
There will be finger food and beverages – open house style.
During the reception, there will be a presentation from the Health System.
