Retired Fauquier Health Employee Saves Woman from Alligator

How's this for a dramatic story? Delmas "Del" Zickefoose, a former employee of Fauquier Health, saved an elderly Leesburg (Florida) woman from an alligator and cradled her in his arms until paramedics arrived. The woman, who had her arm bitten off by the alligator, survived and is recovering.

Fauquier Health retiree Mr. Zickefoose, in typical hero fashion, was modest about his heroism.

Systematic activities to prevent or cure health problems and promote good health in humans are undertaken by health care providers. Applications with regard to animal health are covered by the veterinary sciences. Thanks.
